When can we start?
What to expect when inquiring about services with Ulivo Home and Design
1. Discovery CallUsually, upon receiving an inquiry, the first step is we ask you to fill out a questionnaire prior to any call and/or consultation so that we have some understanding of your design wish list and scope of project. And then after the questionnaire is filled, we like to schedule a discovery call with you. It's a chance for us to learn a bit more of what your priorities are in terms of your design project(s), follow up with additional questions based on your responses to the questionnaire, and help explain what our services & process entails.
2. ConsultationFollowing the discovery call, we will schedule an initial consultation meeting in your home. The consultation allows us to see the layout of your home and understand the challenges you have with your spaces. Also, it’s a chance for us to get a better understanding of the scope of work, discuss initial ideas and learn how much you plan to invest in the project. You can also book consultations with us to discuss paint colors, room layouts or any other design challenges you need advice on for a DIY project.
3. ProposalA proposal outlining the scope of work, preliminary ideas for the project, estimated design hours and design fees, and projected timeline will be sent to potential client.
What to expect when working with Ulivo Home and Design
We will turn your project background, inspiration pins, and baseline information into curated mood boards and design plans. This is where our color palette, space planning, furniture layout and design elements turn into a well grounded vision.
During this time, we also source materials and furnishings and gather quotes from vendors and tradespeople for any renovation or contracting work that will be involved.
Once we complete the design concepts for your project, we’ll meet with you to present our plans and ideas for discussion/approval.
4. Procurement & Project ManagementUpon approval of the design plan, we begin ordering and making the necessary purchases to bring the vision together.
We manage and keep track of the project budget and shipping/delivery orders; we do site visits and check-ins with the tradespeople working in your home. We handle the schedule of the project and troubleshoot any issues or delays that may arise.
5. Install & revealThis is the most exciting phase - when we bring your design to life! Upon completion of any contracting work and delivery of all ordered items, we'll set up a time with you to perform the installation. Depending on the size and number of rooms, this process may take several days.
We’ll arrive with everything in hand to install the furnishings and accessories. We’ll style your home with all the finishing touches. Then we’ll do a big reveal with you! We’ll also plan a photo shoot of the finished space(s).
A note on TRADEWORKAny tradeperson needed for the project, such as painters, installers, electricians, etc. should be hired directly by the client. Ulivo Home & Design can provide recommendations and assist with requests for quotes if desired.
